    Hi there.

Looks like a custom made event management script.

You could look for one of those, or use a customized social networking script.

well, socialengine just got another good review on my site (user review site on social networking scripts).

Most people are a bit shocked by the price of these packages (around 300$). A good way to investigate before investing this type of money is the folloowing:

    - create a simple landing page with a couple of articles on it with an optin email form.
    - promote the site during two weeks using cpc (which will probably cost you a good 150$)
    - start communicatin by building a relationship with your list & one point simply ask them whether they think a community website or facebook page would be useful.

If they tell you to ditch the idea (or don't reply at all), you'll know there is no point. based on good research inside the community you are targetting. If they like the idea, you'll have the first couple of people already at your fingertips who will promote the community.
