    Hi all,

Have heard quite a bit about the topic of SEO friendly CMS's and am wondering what your opinions are regarding them and what makes them more/less seo friendly than others. For example, have heard a lot about wordpress being amazingly seo friendly (lot of hype around it I think) and am curious why people view it as much greater than the others out there (not trying to pick on wordpress, but they were the first that came to mind when I think of the topic).

Wordpress is considered really SEO friendly, because compared to other CMSs /*lol, bad english, I don't know how to write this properly :p*/ it simply is. When you compare WP with Joomla!, dotnetnuke, drupal, or any other CMS; their SEO capabilities aren't even close. Wordpress has good permalinks, fastest load times with caching /*and a good server*/, built-in SEO options like meta tags, etc... The feature I like the most is that there are great addons for WP which enable it to be even more SEO optimized. Also, WP is simple and noob-friendly ;)

Please read this article. It will give you some answers and point you in the right direction:

Wow, that article was pretty damned in depth! lol

That was a really good read - added to bookmarks so I could read the rest a bit later today, but thank you very much for the reference. Had QUITE a bit more than I was expecting on the topic, which was a pleasant surprise.

    Thanks MarketerScientist

I think the way Wordpress does its inner linking is awesome for SEO. The url's to pages on your site have really good keywords in them, and WP has quite a few plugins as well that can help you do the little things (if you're willing to spend the time).

Ya, I've heard they've got quite a few nice plugins and such. Have just recently started looking into them because, like you said, it takes a little time to work with and figure them out.
