White-hat SEO is a legal and right way of SEO. Which takes time and of-course hard work to make links visible and easily found in search engine. But as it is legal and therefore is a good way of SEO.

Black-hat SEO is opposite to white-hat SEO, in which someone uses illegal ways to get their website popular and boost in search results in search engine, but as soon as search engine realizes it, it removes that site or ban that website from it's directory as my other friends mentioned above about Google. This is wrong method of SEO.

As the name implies White hat technique are those techniques that are approved and permissible to Google and other search engines. White hat seo is doing what is in accordance with google algorithm. while black hat seo is an unethical way of doing seo.

 

After how much time google change their algorithm.This is little confusion for me.

In simple terms, black hat SEO is comparatively easier and provides results faster but they are short lived and once you get caught, things will just act negatively in terms of ranking, while, white hat SEO requires more constant efforts and the results of the efforts put in is rather slow but the results are sure to stay for a longer period of time.

 

I will define it in a short way:

Blackhat - Focuses on the quantity of links (SPAM, Stuffing, Cloaking)
Whitehat - Focuses on the quality of links

 

when you can use a software for doing seo for a website is called black hat and when you doing manually seo for a website it is white hat seo

White Hat SEO: Following the guidelines that Google gives (like H1 tags, writing good content, using breadcrumbs, focusing on one keyword per article)

Gray Hat SEO: Is using methods that are not completely Black hat but can give you problems.
