Content from your friends and acquaintances is sometimes more relevant and meaningful to you than content from any random person. For example, an online movie review is useful, but a movie review from your best friend can be even better

    Very true. Not sure myspace ever had the complete domination facebook does though. I think it's amazing to see massive corporations like adidas promote their facebook page on advertising boardings instead of their own webpage. I read recently that facebook has more pageviews per day than the next hundred biggest sites combined.
    I guess there is always room for something slightly different to come along and shake things up. Looking forward to seeing what they have to offer.
