I always think what is love? When my parents do their best give me what I want and support me to pursue my dream, a feeling of move fill my heart, and I can feel their deep love. When my boyfriend trys his best to protect me from harm, I can also feel his love! And when others who are in trouble, you lend their your hand, they also can have a feeling of love......

So I think love is a feeling! You can always feel it. Love is around you everywhere everytime!

How come you don't always hold much faith in love

 

I have my own reasons. Call me cynical if you wish, I know I've heard the term a time or two. I've actually acknowledged the fact that I can be at times. But as much joy as love brings, it's also the harbinger of pain and I don't like dealing with that. Contrary to what some people believe, I don't think love is always enough.

I don't like the pain aspect of it either but for me I'm willing to deal with that to experience all the amazing emotions and feelings being in love brings to one life

 

These days people call me guarded. I guess I am. In the past, I tended to become too emotionally attached, too quickly. Now I'll be damned if I fall in love too soon. Im actually on somewhat of a relationship hiatus, lol. I'm tired of love and all it's frilly notions. Yeah, love can be amazing but right now I'm like "Eh...." on the subject.

The thing is that the first time you fall in love,you do tend to be a bit naive.The more you love some one,the more you get attached to him/her and if you break up,it can be quite hard to deal with.

After that,you lose faith in love.How many of you here believe that true love happens only one time??????

 

I doubt that it only happens once. However, the depth and power with which you love people can differ drastically. You might not love one person the same way you loved another, and vice versa.

 

and with one there may be more than just love, connections, bonds, matches, and the list goes on. You can 'love' anyone if you try, or want to but the rest does not happen for every 'love'...

 

Precisely, Grim. Although I don't think you can force yourself to feel one way towards a person. I can't "make" myself love someone, if I truly do not. On the flip side, I cannot stop loving someone "just because."
