    I'm thinking about starting my own "What is my IP?" type site. It looks like a good, solid low-maintenance site.

    Has anyone here run one before? What is the competition like? Is it hard to make revenue with these sites?

    I don't run one - but there are already quite a few out there, as I'm sure you noticed on doing a Google search.

    So, you might want to think about a different angle or offering something unique along with it. Maybe a Google map mashup (beyond just geo).

    I dont think it will be a good idea of starting a What is my IP type of sites. There are many sites already to check IP's.Also I dont think it will yield you much

    almost zero maintainance... high competition. could be good only if it gets high traffic
