What is social networks

Social networks are online communication features that exist in the modern society like Twitter,Facebook,Digg. This a way of communicating and sharing ideas via computer,mobile etc.

 

social network is a place where you can see what your frens are doing. (At least what they want you to know) a place to know new friends. I know my wife from Facebook. simply makes things more borderless and cheap as you no longer spend time and money on phone calls.

 

I don't know how to define social network but let me give you some examples: Facebook, Twitter, Friendster, etc.

 

It's like being in a room with everyone you know, possibly including some you don't, except online. Everyone's talking at once about things they would never actually say if the said room were real life. One "friend" shouts out: "Mmm I love quesadillas ", and another "LIKE THIS AND I WILL...". Then proceeds to post pictures of that super cool party they went to last night.

 

agree, it's like bringing in a group of people and group them into you, you can see what everyone else is doing and you can let them know what you are doing.

 

It is a comfortable way to find your friends!

Social networks are good especially ones like facebook and twitter.

In simple language social networking is the grouping of individuals into exact groups and these days is facbook and twitter boom.

 

Social networks are sites like facebook and twitter with very large user bases.

 

Social Network for me is a place to gather all people around to build share interest among others.
But it seem it been using different purpose from different user now.

what was the first social network site? is yahoo considered as the pioneer? I think friendster is the modern pioneer of it, but how bout the actually pioneer?
