Wordpress is user-friendly with easy to install plug-ins. I suggest Joomla too.

I think beyond personal recommendations, you should look at the community behind a given CMS.

WordPress is good because there's a monster responsive series of forums, websites and resources. Sure other CMS' have these, but having used Joomla, Drupal, Mambo and some, the community behind WordPress has always helped quicker.

People don't realize what you can do with Wordpress. Most people think it's only for blogging but, in all actuallity, it can make a GREAT website and have natural SEO built in! All you have to do is setup a page for your homepage and then set Wordpress up to open up with that page first. Then you have a website that has a ton of great plugins/addong that you can add for extra features.

This plugin might be helpful - addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10229/ (defines the CMS used on the page)
