    Try CCleaner. It's the number-one tool for cleaning your Windows PC. It protects your privacy online and makes your computer faster and more secure. Easy to use and a small, fast download.

    I lіkе ccleaner also. Used іt extensively without issues.

    However;

    My main use of it is cleaning uр temp files and removing annoying programs frоm startup, pluѕ the occasional removal оf а program sіnce іt opens quicker thаn Control Panel.

    Yup, both CCleaner (Crap Cleaner) are great tools. CCleaner has a backup function before messing with your registry, which is a really important function.

    I use 'Free Window Registry Repair.' I used to use Eusing's version, but it didn't do as well i.m.o. I now use fwrr and I'm completely satisfied. I combine that with CCleaner to clean junk files off my computer every time I use the internet as well. Both do a great job keeping my computer up and running. Don't forget to defrag at least once a month if you do a lot of surfing, streaming, downloading, etc.

    CCleaner does NOT clean the errors like other programs used exclusively for cleaning errors from your registry. For example, I use my registry cleaner at least once a week and I get hundreds of errors. I use CCleaner and only get like 20 to 30. CCleaner is great for cleaning junk files such as cookies, temporary files, cache files, etc., but not as good for straight error cleaning. If you've never used a straight registry cleaner, you probably have thousands of errors slowing down your computer, especially on start up.

    I use Cleanup (stevengould.org) and like it better than CCleaner. Cleanup does a good job and the toilet flushing sound effect is priceless.
