do you recommend using shopping templates with wordpress or joomla or do you think shopping cart is good?

for me i need site just to show and compare products, payment itself will not be online

 

Oscommerce is best open source. But you may need to hire someone to design a great looking unique theme for you.

 

if you want to combine wordpress or joomla with oscommerce that would be little more extra work. But you can make your work admin panel for your convenient

i think i will use joomla as a homepage. and oscommerse as a shopping cart/

by the way. why oscommerse is better than zencart or magento. ? or is it better ?

 

OSC was the core engine, the many "fork" projects were developed based on it.
ZenCart claims that it has gone a very different way in coding which makes it better than OSC.

 

Prestashop - absolutely superb. Great modules, great support forum, slightly weird but when you get your head round it, it all makes sense.
New version to be released at the end of March too.

 

I believe there are e-commerce plugins for Wordpress, even though I have never used them.

when it comes to wordpress. i also like it. but actually i think shopping cart is specially designed for shopping. so they are well focused on their job,

 

Oscommerce is complete trainwreck of bad, outdated coding practices. Only noobs use that crap.

Magento is a relative nightmare. While the code is "good," it's very bulky and dense. As such it runs very slow on sub-par servers. I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to spend a large amount of time figuring out all its quirks. The templating is very involved and takes quite a bit of time to figure out.

 

Probably, Zeuscart will support all your need. Try it out.
