If you can become a "trusted" resource or user and you have a sizeable network, then almost any social network would be good. Even a forum or two can be very good.

At this point, Facebook would probably win for likelihood getting people to visit a link. That's the tough part, most people are savvy enough not to click on just any link.

If you really want to drive trraffic to your site don't go with just one social network, try at least the three more popular.

You can use both Facebook and Twitter. Facebook by far is the most effective in my opinion. It has a lot of APIs for you to connect with your customers as well as for your customers to connect to their friends. You can create a free Business page for your users to be your fans (Its called "Like" now...). Also, assume your site is the one on your signature. You can make a share button (Its called "Like" as well...different than the business page's "like" though) for each job and let your users to share with their friends.
For twitter, there's "Retweet" button available. Your users can "Retweet" your job posting and their friends can see it.

It simply depends on your personal characteristics. Only you know what is the best way you could interact with others and that's why these different social networking websites were developed. yeah, you got it right...each of these social networking websites is suitable for a specific kind of marketing based on the specific mean of communication. So my simple piece of advice is spend some time with each of these social networking sites and observe (not see) where you are most comfortable interacting time and exchanging views with others. The moment you find it you know where you have chance to add value in the lives of others and that's the place you can get the maximum output from. Yeah, that output is traffic but not just any traffic; it's really highly targeted as users are already pre-sold with your words at the social networking website and have a reason to trust and accept you.
    Hope I made sense.
    Take Care

It really depends on your business. Ive found that you can get alot of followers and members on facebook and twitter but thats if you have interesting things to say otherwise the only followers you get are spammers, trying to get there own numbers up. People on Facebook and twitter ive found dont really convert well on website, i.e. contact, or purchasing. They are interested in what you say but never buy anything.

Take this as you will, but this is my own previous experience.

    Hope this helps

Facebook and Twitter are probably the best that you can find out there. You can find all kinds of market there. The best thing with FB and Tweeter is their interface and of course the huge amount of subscribers. We're talking millions here.

Facebook is more viral. Its always out there, and as your following grows you get exponentialy more exposure. Twitter is just a clutter of text, though you can set up your twits on autopilot and you'll get a few hits here and there. But I agree, with the opinion that you have to diversify your traffic flow.

FaceBook can give more traffic then twitter, having lots of API's there are more way to promote website, blog, feed etc. Stumble is also a good source if stumble well you can get a good traffic just through stumble.
