    do follow links are those which are considered as a proper link and pr is given by google and no follow links are those which are links but are not cosidered as backlinks and no pr are is given on those links

    nofollow links doesn't pass the page value onto the link it's pointing to.

    Dofollow links affect your ranking on search engine, nofollow does not because it does not pass seo "credit" to the linked to page :) I think Steve's link is very helpful, you should check out.

    their are really no dofollow only nofollow means when there's a code saying rel="nofollow" that means it's a nofollow site. If you won't see any rel="nofollow" tag or sourcecode of any site then the site is a dofollow.
