I think it's important to just keep moving and building up momentum with business, in the sense of keeping the ideas flowing and not letting failures bring you down. When you have that energy you'll attract other people who can help you succeed, which will continue to increase your momentum. With the right motivation and taking lots of action you can bring almost any idea to life! :D

The most important thing in business is your plan. Make a plan and stick to it. Evolve it every quarter, but generally stick to it.

The reason this is the most important aspect is because it trickles down into everything else in the business venture. If you do not have a plan, you do not know where you are going and if you do not know where you are going, you cannot make wise decisions regarding product/service, advertising, marketing, promotions, client response, customer service.... and the list goes on.

Start by first coming up with a bullet point plan. Step by step answer the most critical questions every business needs answered before it starts out.

    What will the company sell?
How will the company make profit?
    What is the company name?
What will set you apart from your competition?
How will you sell your product/service?
How will you produce the product/service once it is sold?
How will you advertise your product/service?
How will you market the product/service? (marketing/branding is different that advertising)
What is your target sales in one year.
The questions go on and on.

Make a plan before you do anything else.

I see all kinds of "ideas" purported in this thread, but NONE of them mean anything without customers. I have had my own business now for almost forty years, and I can tell you that NOTHING posted so far means squat.

The most important part of any business is TAKING CARE OF THE CUSTOMER. Take care of the customer and HE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU.

Once you have taken care of the customers, then and only then will you have the money to focus on anything else.
