    If I've understood you correctly then it is very hard to get traffic from small poor countries with bad internet.

    the one that you don't need it. ie if the product you are selling/promoting is not for the country you get traffic from..

    Actually it totally depends on your site. If you are running your site in US and your products is for US clients then every other country is bad for you, because traffic from other countries is only increasing load on your site.
