    Americans are lowering their cholesterol according to this news article:

    It seems to be the affect of cholesterol lowering drugs.
    Hopefully the drug not only reduces the number mentioned in the lab report but also the incidence of heart disease. Some drugs treat the symptom rather than the disease.

    All that said, what is your cholesterol? Mine is 145. No drugs.
