The Book of Joe by Jonathan Tropper - that's just off the top of my head.

I'm a big Kurt Vonnegut fan, and I think Timequake is my favourite book by him. RIP Kurt :(

What about La Chute (Camus) or... Les Jeux Sont Faits by Jean-Paul Sartre? I love those books! (french version is better than the translations BTW)

I started reading The Fall (La Chute) last year but got sidetracked and forgot all about it. Thanks for the reminder!

My French is limited to asking very basic questions and saying "I don't speak French" :p

"Aujourd'hui Maman est morte" (Today, mother is dead) a quote by Meursault.

Yes, it's mainly for the metaphors and images that sound better in french. Plot wise, no difference :p

Hey, why not register on [IMG] and upload all the books you read to get recommendations ;)

I'm reading On The Road by Jack Kerouac. It's quite good. One of my favourites is Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck :)

The Art of War -- Sun Tzu. Reading Sun Tzu's work has completely changed my perspective on a lot of things...business, martial arts, and even my personal life.

    How about you guys?
