My favorite social network site is Facebook. The major reasons is the presence of most of my friends and relatives. Next to Facebook, I like Twitter.

 

I'd like to let you guys know about one of my new favourite 'social bookmarking' sites that really helps with linkbuilding, meeting people with the same interests and also information mining / finding - it's been a real muse for content writing ideas and it's a growing tech startup that is called: PearlTrees [dot] com. Just google PearlTrees!



This is quite a genious tech startup! (I have no affiliation whatsoever - I just literally discovered it yesterday after receiving a subscription email.

Why / how is this good for linkbuilding?
You curate lists. You then can easily find people with similar interests who curate things in common.
It’s a genious way to network.
Quick to sign up, and a great way to book mark sites too!

Aside from delicious / Buzzmarker – it’s more visual – kinda like a mindmap curation of interesting infos!
Helped me find some great viral topics to write about very quickly – also helped me discover who was working for who, and helped me find link targets too! There’s more to this I’m sure! I only played with it for 20 mins…but I can really envision, that if this community keeps growing the way that it has - then it's gonna be big!

• I love LinkediN for meeting seo linkbuilders and professionals who can open the doors to a wealth of linkbuilding opportunity.

• I love twitter for it's quick engaging tactics

I'm not too bothered about Pinterest as yet - it just doesn't appeal to me personally or have the scalability to fit in with what I presently do. This is not to say it wont be useful if my work was a little different. I can see how this is GREAT for ecommerce and Travel niches!
