What level of daily pageviews would warrant an ad?

We've been running a webcomic for almost a year now, but I have no idea when the site's traffic would justify an ad campain. I've been looking to add a single banner advertisement (not any of those really annoying ones), since I wouldn't want to mangle the site's layout, but I don't know when that would be worth the trouble... The site's going for less than 200 pageviews a day right now, and I don't think I could easily improve on that, since there's not much text content one would search for when looking for a webcomic and I have to rely solely on word-of-mouth and the signatures we brand in a couple of online forums for advertising, I guess.

I'd just like to see what people here think would be a good idea - what level of pageviews should we expect before we can realistically reach a sum of money each month that would warrant a visit to the bank?

 

adversal.com will give you 1.2$ / 1000 pageviews so you will need 10.000 unq to see that 300$ check a month. You probably should find a banner display that is related to you specific site niche and add some text links, this way you should earn more. Try to get more traffic is your primary concern right now!
