    Don't forget that the spider crawl your page from top left to bottom right... then it would be wise to put your contents on the top left side at your page. So the advertising would be match for your contents! :)

    Try putting a Banner (468 x 60) right beneath your post title(header) and before the start of the content. After trying many trials and errors this have worked best for me. 4 times the CTR of the second best position.

    468X60 is not too big to be intrusive, and not to small to be ignore..
    Works better if your title header is an anchor text. :)
