    I don't know about those programs.

    I always use photoshop for making things for the web.

    Photoshop is the one togo with. Fireworks is good, too.
    But it will eventually drop off the market in the future since it has been aquired by the same company that owns Photoshop.. (They used to be competitor tools some time ago).
    Photoshop is professional and powerful. And not that difficult to learn.
