Hi,
I want to come up with a service which I can provide locally and online and on an ongoing basis, the service shouldn't be webmaster related i.e. article writing or web-promotion, I need something that general public needs, can anybody think of something i.e. what service can I provide?

If you have skills in coding and graphic design then start a site.Professionally it is very demanding now a days but you can earn more if you do your own sites

 

Hey bud why don't you go to elance and guru and have a look at the different jobs in each area. A hot untapped niche if you want to get onto mobile marketing area is to pitch mobile advertising management to local companies i.e. you manage sms campaign for example for the local pizza shop. It is easy to set up the campaigns on a mobile advertising network like jumptap, admob etc and just charge a management fee.

Find out what problems local businesses are having and solve the problem. In the above example the problem is not enough customers and you solve it by doing a sms coupon campaign for the local area

Nothing wrong with asking business what problems they are having and maybe read a few business magazines and look at what the big advertisers are advertising.

Do something you can be passionate about and not just to make a buck-easier to sell and you will enjoy it-otherwise you buy yourself another JOB!
