What should I use for invoice management?

I am starting a freelance type design and development business and I currently use paypal for my invoicing. I am able to save them even if I do not request funds through paypal and it seems to work, but I am wondering what other free invoice management platforms that work well?

I wouldn't recommend free software if you want to be advanced. But if you want to stay simple I say Microsoft office products like mentioned above excel or even Microsoft word with special template app will work. But if you want advanced invoice with much more customer information control then I would consider you looking at "QuickBooks". They're one of the top ones out there for invoicing and managing customer data, although they're a one time cost.

I am a user of Freshbooks which is fantastic for invoice management.

Theres a 30 day ffee trial if you want to test the waters and see if it works for what you do. Then its a monthly cost of $19.95 - worth it in my books for what you get (excuse the pun!).

PayPal invoicing is good, but too basic. I've got Invoicera for invoice management. It does offer a Forever free plan and 30 Day Free Trial for the paid ones.

Usually I find the PayPal invoicing sufficient. Never heard of invoicera but I have used Zoho in the past. Zoho has several payment gateways integrated. Not sure if its still free ...

Nothing beats FreshBooks in my opinion. They include a PayPal link right at the bottom of every one of your invoices so clients have no reason to act confused. Because trust me if there is any reason for a client to play confused when receiving an invoice, they'll find it.

Actually, PayPanther, has great free invoicing software, you can send professional looking invoices via email, even opt to send automatic email reminders to pay the invoice. And process payments online from anywhere in the world.

Did I mention it's completely free? lol

I like Freshbooks also, but Paypal invoicing is sufficient also for certain transactions.

I also used freshbooks for years, it is great if full on invoicing is what you are looking for.
