What social networking sites give you more traffic and take less time of yours?

What social networking sites give you more traffic and take less time of yours?
I can only spend 20 minutes on this every day.

 

The two social bookmarking sites I use are Digg and Propeller. I don't get a lot of traffic from either one, but I do get back links and over a period of time I should get some traffic from that.

All I do is post on my blog and then I put the blog post on Digg and Propeller, I don't spend any time on the bookmarking sites maybe I should, but it takes me just a few minutes a day to do what I do and it should bring in traffic in the long run, but as I said above, I only get 4 or 5 hits a day right now from each site.

The only social networking sites I post my site to are Digg and StumbleUpon. StumbleUpon will help bring you traffic and Digg is always a solid link

 

I hear a lot about social bookmarking sites, but I never tried it because I didn't know whether it really works or not. Let me know which ones work the best.

 

I started writing about my social bookmarking experiences...(quoted4truth.com/blog) The best site IMO is reddit; ive presonally had days where it has gotten me 60k+ UVs

 

StumbleUpon for me hands down! I get a massive amount of traffic for all of my sites via SU.

 

I think it depends on the site/content, but ive used SU with some success, it gets traffic, so it works right? I usually get 10-15 UV from submitting a page.

I dont think any of my pages have gotten stumbled by anyone else.. but hey it still gets me traffic

 

They key to being successful with SU is to have others vote for a page. The more stumbles a page gets the more stumbleupon will rotate the page.

 

For me, Digg and reddit are the top most social bookmarking sites that provide my blogs with more traffic.

 

Same for me it is Diggs, however I'll also try SU and reddit. Thanks.

i like social networking and there are a ton of different sites. ive even pulled traffic from sites like myspace and facebook. a simple facebook group can lead to alot of traffic

 

I agree with this... The key is getting more fans / members / people that like your page. The more you have the easier it will be to drive traffic to your website

Having a facebook page (now with over 750 fans) for a website which previously had around 700 weekly visits had driven my weekly traffic to over 1000!

 

People are talking about social bookmarking, not networking..

Best social networking site is probably FB. Good response, and message stays for a quite long time (unlike twitter). Imfaceplate is not bad too. Others kinda too spammy, like twitter.

 

Twitter is always good. It can sometimes even get you new customers, maybe right a post about a special deal then do "#hosting" (no quotes) or something like that and it would go in a stream.

Other comment referring on social bookmarking not social networking. As the worldly use the very popular is Facebook, I spent it more time than twitter and multiply.
