i personally use YouTube a lot or twitter,
open a website, drive traffic through youtube
and send message through twitter, google likes that kind of stuff...
and more people buy since they see that you have a social presence.

I've always had pretty good luck with Twitter as well. The thing I've come to realize about Twitter traffic though is they're NOT buyers. They do 'a lot' of clicking though.

I dunno about you, but when I hear social media, traffic and fan engagement, I'm thinking of three things: who is your target group, where is your target group (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and what content does your target group wants to read? Or in other words, no matter the SM channel you use, the content you provide has to be awesome, intriguing, original and share-able. Given the niche you're developing, you lost me personally as a reader, but you can gain 10.000 who will back you up. The main point is to match the SM channel to the reader. Hard as hell, I am still at the "who reads books nowadays anymore" target group identification process :) Good luck! And BTW, your blog looks really cool!

For me, it's in this order:

    1. Facebook
    2. Twitter
    3. Google Plus
    4. Pinterest

For me, it's Tumblr, Pinterest, and then Twitter in that order. Tumblr's number one for me probably because I'm more engaged with my followers over there. Not really sure how to do much communicating on pinterest besides commenting on pictures. I need to do more of that actually.

I think, if you use facebook as a tool to drive traffic to your site. You will succeed.

Most people are using facebook in these days. The question is how skillful are you with facebook in order to drive traffic to an external site.

Twitter and Facebook, these two are on top, but it depends on your activity, content on your profile page and there is much more other things related to SMO.

stumble upon paid discovery is almost useless and their users don't click on ads nor enter your squeeze page. the main problem here is most users ask questions and get replies WITHOUT knowing the niche. There are some methods working better for niches that don't work for others and viceversa. This way you only get generic suggestions that will not (probably) give consistent benefits. Can you tell me your niche?
