Paid Membership sites- sites where members pay small fee and get access to stuff, products or services.
What type of paid membership sites are members willing to pay small fee? :)

I agree. Dating sites can entice people into signing up for paid membership. It is a crowded market but if you focus on a targeted community, you can succeed.

    Hello,

I'm apart of a membership site that is very good.
It has good learning content for the members, and it's also a good way to make money.

You can check it out by clicking on my signature below.

I still manage to sell them "get a free car" memberships, and "paid to take surveys". It's not huge money but it still works.

Other than that, I sell them diferent kind of "get something for free" and make them fill out CPA Lead offers in return. Offering the suckers about 10-15% of the survey payment is often good enough.

Membership sites or continuity programs? I know a guy that's got 1,600 on a $49 a month membership program, so they're profitable.

A lot of sites are popular that do this - its all up to you on what you decide to sell.

Here are some articles regarding paid membership - or sites that allow you buy things:

Many sites have membership website for less than $10.00 a pop. The beauty is that it is a one time thing. It seems low paying fee and once are the way to go. people are entice by low cost membership and paid once. Myself I concentrate on selling some MRR ebooks. I got a client with an online personal trainer program. I'm going to extend a membership into a private forum. Not sure how much to charge but you have access to his videos, diet, exercises and discount on his workout DVDs that are about to come out

membership sites usually require more in trust to be built up with your list or visitors before they're willing to opt in, from my experience.

I have 1,200 RSS subs and roughly 5,000 visitors a day with an active membership only forum of 70 members paying $6.95/month. This gives them access to private information and "gurus" who answer every thread.

seems like some good answers. the key is to recurring billing. overtime, that's how the big money is made. and obviously, whatever site you choose, make sure it's great. that's always the most important aspect.

Anyone have any experience with Finance related membership sites? Thinking of trying to put one up on stockmarket forecasting or currency based on my planned phd research. Not giving tips but showing the research methodology and statistical methods involved. Would that be too complex to find a market?

I'm starting a dating webiste but in a focused area like above said its a tough market regular dating. Im planning on letting members join for free but to contact certain people or what not and to read messages that they get. times are tough so i'm thinking on charging them 4.95 paying all paypal fee's myself for a lifetime mebership and another option i think of adding is cpalead or some site where members can do a few surveys for a lifetime memebership. but for right know i'm focused on seo to get ranked for kw's and then logo design but hope it works:)

Maybe adult or paid webmaster forums will help a lot. But, you can consider either one, depending up on your personality.

Paying to see "stuff" is one of the biggest markets online in terms of education and entertainment.
