I know you have to have traffic to make money. But I am curious to know what kind of site content makes more money?

Is this another secret no one wants to unveil?

    -Thanks

Any type of website can make money as long as you invest time into developing/maintaining and promoting the website. Start with a topic you really like, then use that theme and explore it to the fullest with content and more content. Update daily.

Except that the AdSense Program Policies specifically prohibits "Gambling or casino-related content". :D

This is actually a much more complex question than it appears. Sure there are high paying keywords/topics out there, but if you can't create a reasonably good and comprehensive site, you won't see much money from it... unless you create thousands of sites at a time.

So my advice would be to focus on topics you are knowledgeable about and have a passion for. There's nothing as much fun as creating a site about something you like and know about.... and in the long run it can be very rewarding revenue wise too!

The content that will make you the most money is:

#1 - content that a lot of people visit (by traffic)
    BUT
#2 - content that sucks - so they click the first link they see and go away.

    Is that the question?

Having a good site that makes consistent money and one that's a flash in the pan is two entirely different animals.

If you are looking for content that makes the most money, you are probably not in this for the long haul. *shrugs*

I agree with Crusader. Go with what you have a passion/interest in. There is no magic formula.

For instance, some people report tech sites never generate ad revenue because techies are too smart to click on ads. Some people make huge revenue from tech sites.

I think when you compare sites which do and do not make money, you can get a sense of what does and does not work. And, just how much effort goes into creating a "sticky" site -- now, there is an old term!

Sometimes a single page on a website can be the most important assest of the site, especially if it contains unique information which is extremely useful to a specific niche group and is constantly updated -- forcing those people to return often.

Indeed. Taking care of a website you like is not always funny, imagine what it'd be if you really didn't give a sh*t about what it said...
