Hello, i just finished my high school exam and hoping to set up an online business,i have read a lot about internet marketing and SEO and cant wait to apply what i have learned.

The problems i encounter are dont know how to find contents for my website(to find contents for 40-80 webpages seem like a herculean feat to me),how to set up auto responder or newsletter or do webhosting company provide those services?

I am very impress with the wibsites you guys (and ladies) built, hope you all can share your experiences or give me an advice or two on how to start out in online business,THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Well you should first go to school tomorrow and slap your english teacher in the mouth....

In fact you shouldn't write any content, or do any web publishing for that matter, until you get that whole spelling/grammar thing worked out.

Then use the search function here and read read read. :)

Content really depends on your niche. If you have picked your niche, do some keyword research to find out which ones will drive you teh most traffic. In terms of content writing articles or getting someone to write articles for you is a good start. There are many good article writers on here charging roughly $6-10 for a 300 word article. Alternatively you can use articles from pllaces like articledepot.co.uk providing you keep the links on there, that should build your content up. Another option is pull in rss feeds from related sites.

Not sure about autoresponders, but i imagine there would be something you could set up within your hosting package to do that and newsletter signups, well, im sure there are simple scripts available for free to do that. try hotscripts or similar.

If you cannot write better articles than posts, you should probably avoid article writing. There are still plenty of things you can do. Go to the content forum, buy a nice database, have a programmer build a site out of it, and then release it. The main concept is build, build, build.

Look at it this way. If you need $1000 a month to survive, it is much easier to get 10 sites that make $4 a day than it is to get 1 site making $40 a day. I know the math is a little off there, but it leaves some breathing room.

    Hope that helps ;)

I really wouldn't do anything different. I've gotten to where I am today through trial and error. It's the only way to learn!

    That's a little harsh George. :D

I'm not sure that ljyljl5555's first language is English.

Don't think in terms of huge pages. You (I'm speaking in general terms meaning average person) can write useful informative short articles (product reviews for example) for only a few hundred words -- actual optimum internet article length is 450 words or something like that. Also perhaps your ultimate goal might be to build to 80 pages but you can start out with 10 good content pages and then gradually build from there.

Also you can hire writers or use free content to supplement your own material. You could build a whole site around free content but that's not really a good longterm strategy -- although probably OK to get a site off the ground.

Or you could go with some kind of directory or forum aimed at a specific niche where the content grows organically.

Good luck, but as someone else pointed out there is no replacement for experience and learning by trial and error!

If I had to start over, I would have founded ArticleAuthors YEARS ago to help young web entrepreneurs like yourself out. There's definately a niche here that I wish I identified earlier..

Decide on some goals and work on them one step at a time. Once you get the concept of what your site will be about (probably something you already know well), start with a small site with only a few features on it.

Set a goal of how many pages you will add per week. If you get behind you can go to one of the many article distribution sites and pick up an occasional article from them for free. Don't abuse this, your site should have far more unique pages than redistributed pages.

Plan on not making money on this site, maybe you will, but don't be discouraged when you don't.

Don't let unflattering remarks from peers get you down. If something is mentioned and you decide this really is something you need to work on, then add this to your list of goals.

If you think about business, first you should think how not to go to work in it.
