What would happen if...Google vanished all of a sudden (like 'the 4400') ? How would you react to it ? (specially the adsense publishers) ?

Its hypothetical, but still, just curious to know how would people react.

If Google vanished Yahoo would be very pleased with all the new publishers signing in

We'd be okay as we don't have all our eggs in one basket. We get our revenue from a couple of different streams so the loss of one wouldn't kill our business and give us a chance to change the sites to bring in money again (from the Yahoo equivelant of Adsense :) )

I think it existed before, right? It was abused, so Microsoft closed it down.

Well there would be great revisions on the persons having network of site. Indirectly i think all the person who are related to Adsense would be affected by its disappeareance. How much ever you say..adsense has become a gud part of your life....or life for some people...so it would be v chaotic response to this kinda thing being happening...

Unless there's an Adsense alternative, I'd cut back on my spending and I'd cry myself to sleep for a few weeks ;)

No big deal... there are plenty other networks out there, not to mention search engines. Otherwise... they do provide many useful services, but none that you can't live without. ;)

I wouldn't mind. I would actually rejoice because there would be no more stupid sandbox or off topic search reuslts or stupid adwords ads. And no more people talking about the size of their pagerank.

That would really suck. For a while I would lose my adsense revenue all together. The first thing I'd do in a situation like this is use an alternative service. I think Yahoo is now doing an adsense like program. Context Web does similar programs also.

It would be very disprutive but not fatal as many people here were making cash with affiliates long before adsense came around and it would take a microsecond before msn and yahoo filled the gap.
