What would you chose?

If you had to chose between:

1- Working very hard for may be 4-5 years, spending your own money and may be failure but if you succeeded you will achieve huge financial reward and satisfaction,

    AND

2- Getting a good amount of money and giving this chance to someone else,

    What would you chose?

I would much rather choose option one. One thing I've learned in the world of business is that no one gives you anything.

But everyone sure tries to take everything from you. Therefore, I wouldn't give anything to anyone, unless that earned it deserved to have it.

No. It is a patent that either I can develop it as business myself or sell it to someone else. If it is was 10 years ago, I would definitely go for the first alternative but I don't have the same motivation anymore and I am wondering if I really need the hassle but in the same time I suppose the old habits die hard, so it is difficult to give up and take the easy money.
It is a once in a life time chance but it will take the next 4-5 years and because of the industry I will need to deal with a lot of lawyers and I really hate that.

I would say it depends where you are in life. Are you happy with where you are? Would the risk really be worth it?

I don't know much about you, but if you are a young guy, go for it - you can always get on your feet again if you fail.

If not, do you really need the stress? Is the extra money going to make you that much happier?

It feels good if you worked hard for what you've earned. I would choose the first one. :)

I certainly agree with most of you guys. There will always be a sweet satisfaction if you earned it thru hard work!
