What would you do if you were 16 again?

Some of the members here are 16 right now so I'm not sure how you would anser this but for those of you who are in your 20's/30's/40's and beyond. What would you do if you were 16 again?

I don't think I'd do anything different, seriously. Life's a learning process you have to go thru. I'd like to say I would have started making websites back then, but we didn't have the internet, so ...

I woke up late, worked late painting my garage. I haven't shaved in about a week(on a noshave protest, wifey's been grumpy). I'm relaxing eating a bowl of ceral, listening to my wife yell at our 3 year-old to stop running upstairs, and I'm hiding down here reading DP posts.

If I was 16 again, I would want to do anything different, cause this is the life. ;)

Not have been so shy for starters. Oh, and eat less and healthier. Oh, and got a PC. Oh, and not listen to people saying it would make you a. blind or b. daft... :D

If I was 16 again, I'd do so many things differently. I was a crazy wild child that thought I knew it all. Drank, Smoked heavily, Did drugs, went all week long benders, Left school at 15.. & Even though I had the most fun fun fun ever..I now realise that at that kind of age..it's best to build the foundations for later on in life. (If that makes any sense..) And I would have stayed in school and paid attention instead of being more interested in a non stop social life.

If I was 16 now...well I honestly act like I'm 16. I'm so childish, the only difference is - I know when and when not to act that way now.

    Would it?

I truly think my friends and I had almost an idealic childhood. We played outside from morning to night, rode our bikes anywhere we wanted to go (by 16 had drivers license, of course). There was no worry about sexual predators living next door, drug sellers lurking about ... We came from stable two parent families who expected us to respect one another and property rights of others.

That said, I think most of us would follow similar paths we followed in the past. I believe so much of who we are and choices we make are determined by genetics.

    Rant over. :)

Nice Point Smyrl - I didn't have access to a video game until my late teens (and that was at a friends house - Super Mario on this new Nintendo thing).

Not to mention we played outside all day long sometimes miles from home and there was never a question of safety. The worst thing that could happen was a scraped knee.

Now kids have to be supervised in their own front yard

I believe so. My teenage years were really a waste of time. Mainly because the things I am doing now, I didn't have any way of doing back then. If I was 16 today, I would seriously drop out of highschool (or probably get a diploma from home or something) and get into internet business early on.

That amazes me everytime I see it. I seem to think back when I was 15 I wasn't even past the Girls have Cooties stage (well maybe but not admitting it at that stage)

    How times have changed

I also wouuld of not fought with my DAD so much. Looking back I was a DICK to him at times and that wasn't cool. *sorry dad*
