What would you do with this newly purchased site?

Hi all,

I have a few sites in development, but I bought this one - pretty much on a whim - last week. It was claimed to be making 'about $300/month' adsense revenue. Silly me never verified this and I would be surprised if it gets through to $50 based on current performance.

Now I mostly bought it because of the PR(4 but dropped to 3 already) and I haven't started generating traffic for it yet. I am considering changing the main landing page to an affiliate product and adding articles for the SEO with adsense being bonus points, but I would appreciate comments from those who are doing well in the adsense game.

I agree with your assessment. I would definatley change the Home page as you indicated. I would also add a few other basic pages such as Home, About Us, Contact us and most importantly, a site map. I would also go through each page and ensure the Title meta tag contains a good, keyword rich description. On the few pages I looked at, the Title is mumbo jumbo.) Actually, I think the correct term would be the Title is considered "keyword stuffing"

I don't particularly care for the way the Google Ads are placed, or the way they look. I would change them and do some testing to see which ones perform better.

a scaper 160x600 ad on right top will be good.
Also you can use link units, make the right menu no bold, and add link unit.
Alternatively you can use link unit at top or bottom.
