I am still waiting for Google to create one and unified social network. One that combines Orkut with all their other services. I don't use Facebook, never used MySpace, and do use Twitter every now and then. If GOogle came up with such a unified service, I would definetely use it.

Every now and then, Google will announce a new effort to develop something in the social front, but before we know it, the thing is forgotten.

Whatever happened to the 'Open Social' platform?

I guess I missed Orkurt.....and myspace actually because I was in college when FB really took off about 10 years ago out here in California.

    Twitter is here.

I'm betting on video becoming bigger and bigger as time goes by

The total economic collapse of the United States is coming next. At which point people won't be so concerned about there Social Network sites.

If one could predict the future of Social Networking with any accuracy they would not be in the Forums.

You may consider Friendfeed to aggregate but other then that, you pretty much have all the big ones down. If you're not on youtube get on it!
