Then I'm not going to tell you what's all in that garage. ;)

I like the smell of those vinyl sleeves/pages that used to hold baseball cards, etc. You get it with any vinyl type pages and reminds me of my childhood. I also like the smell of fresh pages in a book.

    Lots of nice responses here.

For me, the sea, seaweed (especially kelp from New England), gardenias, magnolias, honeysuckle and a the musky smells of a marsh.

Two smells come to mind because they were "part of the environment" so to speak:

    1. Many years ago, I worked in an office park that was across the street from a Wonder Bread bakery. When they were baking (several times per day) and you were either coming to work or leaving from work, you would smell baking bread not only outside the building and in the parking lot, but in your car for a few blocks. It was wonderful and always brought a smile to my face.

    2. Today, I live near a highway that takes you right by a coffee manufacturer. When they are roasting their coffee beans (at least a couple of times per day), the smell of fresh roasted coffee beans wafts through your car as you drive by. I do not even like coffee, but the smell is wonderful.

But, I do have to agree with @qwikad.com that the smell of a wood fire is right up there, as well. The city of Providence has Waterfire celebrations during the warmer months (waterfire.org) and that fills a good part of the city with the smell of burning hardwood. Another great smell.
