PR is not a measure to trust anymore.
    It has its own glitches.
Its getting an outdated concept to concentrate on PR. I would suggest to concentrate on usability and conversions more than PR.

    Just my opinion

I've had a steady PR5 for just over a year now. Will it ever get that PR6 slot?

My PR is ok, but I ultimately gauge the success of my SEO efforts on how often the phone rings for new business.

well there is a radio button on poll so I will pass on it.

But let me write it here. I have more then one site and their PR ranges from PR 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7

    I have 15 PR 3 sites and 12 PR 4 sites.

other has less numbers in it. And I have many PR 0 and 1 sites for which I don't get enough time to market it.

    I have 1 PR6, a couple PR5, lots of PR4 and so on.

PR isn't everything but GENERALLY the high PR ones do get indexed more, do get more traffic, and do earn more. There are plenty of exceptions of course. Like the two PR5 -- one of them has double the traffic of the other and 4 times the income.

At the same time PR does help with indexing -- none of the high PR sites have the issue of not being indexed or lots supplementals, which happens to the lower (>PR3) site.

The PR6 is also "powerful" enough that it can launch a new site rapidly. If I point a PR6 link it to a new site then that new site gets spidered within days and ranks (at least a bit) for keywords within a week.

It's convenient but it doesn't help the $ enormously. You still need to build quality sites with useful content, and that takes the time/effort. No point linking from the pR6 to an emtpy site or one full of autogenerated doorways!

Pootwan: You are right, but one advantage is the SEO stuff.
As mine, I am now doing some SEO experiments with my site, and how to confirm the result when my site is not indexed for two months. And when I do some things wrong, there will be long time waiting for result again.
If you get new site indexed after one week, it is quite easier.
    Cheers.
