    Hi,

    When choosing a CMS, is the backend the most important? What I'm really trying to ask is lets say I want a specific look to the end-user, does it matter which CMS I go for? Will any CMS be able to create the layout that I want or do I need? Do I just need to modify or find the right templates for any CMS?

    I think some CMS might be limited as far as achievable design is concerned, as there are often some limitations in the templating implementation etc....

    CMS will not create the layout you want, instead CMS usually comes with 0-XXX pre-made layouts/templates for you to choose from. Or you have to design one on your own.
