when should you submit to digg

is there a better time to submit a story to digg. like on the weekends or at night when is that best time or does it not mattrer

 

i notice the most traffic on digg is during business hours.

 

Ofcourse people that are paide per hour are at work, and they just surf the web, so that time will go by faster .

I think most internet traffic is during business hours.

 

I get more diggs when I post at night. Seems like your story gets pushed down too fast during the day.

 

I agree, night is better...

In the day light, everyone submits.,.. in the night, some of them are sleeping..

 

thats true but then no no one will be up to see it.

 

I believe that you should submit to Digg on Fridays during the school day. So then kids always go on the internet after school and especially on weekends, so a lot of them will go on Digg at that time. Best of luck to you!

 

i think i disagree with the weekend all my traffic goes down on the weekend but i have mostly arcade sites. does you traffic go down on the weekends.

 

Just be sure to only submit the most quality articles since its so easy to get banned.

 

I havent been able to tell a difference I have submitted at all different tmes

 

what i do is.. wait untill a user submits something to digg, then when they do this go crazy and start buying diggs, get every single one of your friends to digg it, buy blog posts and include the link to digg the article go insane, do as many digg exchanges as possible. i never submit to digg myself just wait untill it happends naturally then go crazy..

my sites have been on the main page 4 times

Hi, generally speaking, the traffic is always heavier before 8am and after 7-8pm which are the before office and after office hours. I would presume that it is better to Digg your stories then.

 

thats why digg is really no different then any paid advertising. ive found that the quality of the articles posted mean next to nothing, ive seen some awesome articles with very creative content with less than 20 diggs, while a list of the top ten best cereals will be on the front page. everybody is getting their diggs unnaturally so the whole point of their site is null.

 

This is it yeah, to be honest i have to say around 30% of the digg community just digg random crap over and over again, they think that creative content is boring as long as its amusing and to the point then its digged.

Its still hard to reach the main page with buying diggs anyway, the main page list is chosen by the digg admins.

Whatever you do, don't post the url for a digg request. You'll end up like the rest of us, booted from Digg.
