Where best to start facebook or twitter

Hi

Which of the two do you think would be best to make a start for building a fan page etc and getting a list going on I see so many information products promoting the facebook side of things, but friends of mine seem to be more interested in twitter these days a it is less time consuming.

YOur feedback advice would be appeciated.

 

I would take Facebook anytime over twitter, only because twitter works ONLY if you have more than 10k followers. However in facebook you can just start a fan page and start promoting your site and fan page to target more and more eyeballs for your site. You can even promote your site in some good high fan pages or groups in facebook

my vote is also for Facebook its really effective and sweat-free

 

well if your starting and dont know alot of people on facebook twitter gives you more freedom and lets you interact with people based on content rather than previous relationships

I vote for facebook where you can create fan pages, ads to promote your products effectively.

 

I'd say Facebook. Twitter is over saturated with marketers. They don't look at your ads or your non ads, they're too busy posting their own ads.

 

Twitter and Facebook are two very different applications and each has its own advantages. In my opinion, Facebook is an ideal place to connect with my own life – my history, my past, and my present. Twitter, for me, is about discovering people who are quite strangers to me.

You should use both because each have specific uses.

Facebook! Not only is twitter currently infected, facebook is a lot more simple imo. As well as I believe facebook to be more viral than twitter

 

I would say start of with BOTH.

 

I like twitter better it gets me more traffic than facebook. imo

 

Use both but use them systematically. Cross promote both accounts with good content. Use content aggregators like Stuff To Tweet, PopUrls and All Top to get ideas of things to post to the accounts. These sites have content that is already trending popular so people will appreciate it and then be more apt to follow and like you

Both according to me, both facebook and twitter has tones of users so you can't ignore them.

Also there is a feature in facebook that lets you add your twitter tweets as updates in facebook page. So to put an update in your facebook page just tweet

 

I think both twitter and Facebook are the best to start, but you must pay attention that Twitter is completly other, there is more chances to interest people fastly

 

I will be real honest with you marcos, I spend $1,200.00/month on twitter software, and I'm going to tell you that if your looking for a quick buck, go after Facebook. Facebook is great if you can keep up with all their changes, and bypass their filters.

I use twitter simple because i can index a fresh domain on google's first page within hours of spamming twitter.
Twitter's traffic is amazing if you know how to use it.

Both are a very good sites to generate a source of income from, but if your looking for fast money try FB Apps.
If your looking to generate long term income, use twitter.

 

If for socializing then without doubt FaceBook, and if for marketing then twitter, you'll need a large follower base though.

 

Anytime, any day i will take Twitter over facebook. For marketing, twitter is best.
