Where do I find web design jobs?

Discussion in 'General Business' started by math20, Mar 24, 2007.

I am looking for resources that list available web design jobs.

I am not looking for places like getafreelancer or elance where I can do one job for a certain amount of money, I am instead looking for places where I can get a full time job at a web design company.

I found one recently called Authentic Jobs and sent in my application but am looking for more sites like that.

All help will be appreciated, thanks!

    Have you tried:
1: jobster, simplyhired, monster, or crunchboard?
    2: local newspapers
3: asking friends and family if there are any web design positions at their company

I am looking to work online as a freelancer but have a steady income from a web design company so those aren't quite what I am looking for.

Steady income as a freelancer is rare... you'd have to achieve to the point that you have a steady flow of clients coming to you and having the ability to reject projects you don't want to do :p

If you want to start local, you can always try craigslist, thats how I started off.

Good luck with it :D One tip, when responding to CL ads, make sure you add a descriptive subject title that'll make it stand out from other people's (usually jobs get lots of responses and you want them to read yours)

ex) if you can complete a job for $70 and that's cheap on the subject line write: Re: website designer wanted ($70 ONLY)

I would have to say that those on freelancer type places are more looking for a quick buck rather than a steady job.
I posted a job a few days ago, offering decent money and didn't get a single reply. Even offered other incentives, community projects etc.
I even offered spare sites to help the linkbuilding.
The going rate for several mumbai companies way $25 a hour. I can get UK people to work for that!
