    Hi,

    Were do news sites get their news from. Sites big and small. Do they have journalists working for them all the time or do some of the sites purchase the news from other sources.

    I want to start a news site, but need the news. I don't know where I can get it from. I have looked for about 5 days for it now, but can't seem to find anywhere on the Web that sells or lets you publish news on your site for a fee.

    I want news like: top stories, us news, world news, health news, etc. I need to crab it and insert it into my own database.

    Do you new where I can find sites that offer this service as I have looked high and low and can't find one site apart from Allheadlinenews.com where they charge $249.99 or so per topic and their articles are tiny. I want longer articles than them. Some of their articles is about 2 - 3 small paragraphes in size.

    Check out AP, Reuters, AFP and other news agencies. Most newspapers get their news from these agencies.

    Do you know how much these agencies cost? I can't find prices anywhere on the sites. I notice Yahoo uses all the ones you mentioned. Also, if I used them, then will this mean that my news will be the same as yahoo's as it will be duplicate articles given to them and me or will it be re-writen or something so each news site has different articles.
