Where do you get your info from?

    Hey guys,

As the internet is virtually infinite, it is hard to find a descent source to get info you can believe to be true (well, more or less)

So I guess my question is where do you get your info from?

I'm not talking about general info, news or whatever, I'm talking strictly about digital marketing. What do you read? What blogs do you follow? What websites you have bookmarked? What sources do you consider useful and trustworthy?

    Please share. Thanks!

    Hi,

The only way to find reliable information is to compare several sources. Of course, there are too many websites positing "just content" - useless information, but it is always possible to read the same information in several sources and create own vision.

It may sound strange, but forums are one of the most reliable sources. Someone has faced similar issue before, so you can find out about the experience of other people.

So, my approach is to search for information in different sources (each time different) and compare plus read forums.

In my experience most of my trusted sources came to me over time.

Over the years as I searched for desired information I weeded out the obvious idiocy and identified the valid. I'm still doing that. As far as forums it's easy enough mostly to find the ones you need to ignore. The most glaring in my opinion are those who don't bother to read previous comments and merely repeat what was written by those who posted before them. (Pet peeve satisfied.)

As far as specifics a couple of marketing related sources that I trust are Paul Meyer's Talk Biz and John Forde's Copywriter's Roundtable.

When I come on info or ideas or tactics, I'll do a search and read about the subject from multiple sources such as forums and blogs. I tend to not give much creditability to sites that I haven't heard of before too so I always triple check before I start to use a new method.
