Where else should I place my ads?

I get about 15k unique visitors a month, and I'm looking to get a decent amount of income off my site. I just recently purchased it, and put up some adsense, which was doing rather good, but I'm sure I could do better.

I'm yielding a less than satisfactory CTR (below one), and even though this usually wouldn't bother me, I have low paying keywords, so a higher CTR would mean a great deal to me.

The site is http://www.rapidbolt.com/ and you can see on the main page where I put an ad, hoping to get either some intentional and unintentional clicks. Then on a subpage, which you could see here: http://rapidbolt.com/downloads/112306841021060507 (I'm not aware if this is warez, or whatever as the previous owner used it in the sale thread, so I believe it is fine).

Are there any places I could put adsense ads to yield more clicks?

    Thanks,
    Andrew

If it we're me I'd go for 2 large rectangles right beside each other ABOVE the submit box. TRY THIS for a month, then for the next month delete them and try a 728x90 leaderboard right under "Rapidbolt".

Then you'll be able to see which get the best results for your site and simply put those in.
