To think when you came to DP Amit, you barely knew how to even create a website and now you have so much traffic or so many sites you need a dedicated server.

    Blows the mind

I think with $100 per month, it might be hard to find a good solution. Canadawebhosting.com have quite good dedicated server solutions. Rackspace.com is very good, but costs a bit more. The cheaper ones often have problems. As usual, you get what you pay for....

I am truly impressed! I had a few good laughs at your original thread and original site but you have progressed quite quickly. I expect you to be in the $xx,xxx/month club next year, right?

ps. do you really need a full dedicated? Save some of your profits and go for a Virtual Private or Reseller package at this point. HostGator has good prices and fast servers. Also consider -- rather than getting 1 big server, if you spread your sites among various hosts on various IPs, you will likely have more linking power.

    Thanks for the Suggestion.
Mainly i need it for reselling to some small/tiny web clients who may need Just a Website with 10-20MB Space.
So i thought to buy a server an host my main site there and sell other space.
Yes, i know that Hosting all sites on same IP won't help in Backlink counts.
Also thanks for Hostgator link - there prices are good ones.

You can get a reseller account and still sell hosting to your clients. A reseller account with a good hosting company would cost you somewhere close to $50 per month, but i really doubt if you could get a dedicated server for $100 per month.

I have 2 dedicated servers from this company. They are normally sold out. Their service is great. They are charging me $500 per month for 2 dedicated servers. The best thing i like is. say if you purchase a website from someone, just drop an email with cpanel details to their support they would transfer the complete website on your server (including Main website, MySQL DB and email accounts).

But i would really recommend a shared reseller hosting for 45 websites. Get a dedicated server for 150+ websites. If you still plan to get a dedicated server only get a leased one i.e. Managed Dedicated Server. Its a lot of trouble if you plan to get your own machine and manage it remotely. A server guy would charge around $200 a visit, even if its just a reboot.

Their servers are normally sold out, so you have to pre order, i waited for 3 months to get servers with this company. I can recommend them.

I've never seen a place to pre-order their dedicateds. I have a number of smaller packages with them but in my opinion, their shared hosting is too crowded. They haven't had any VPS or dedicated packages available for the months I've been with them. I do like Tim and their support.

Seems good. But I dont know anything about the company. Anybody else have an idea?

Amit, if you just need to sell space to your clients, you can do this by getting a reseller account - which normally starts from upwards of $20 per month.

If you are not expecting huge traffics or do not need to run some special scripts, reseller hosting may be the way to go and can meet most of your requirements.:)

But now i see a problem that if i put all my sites on same server then the backlinks which are interlinked currently won't be counted.
    Any solution for that?

If you look at top websites, most of their backlinks are from the own domain, and the other C class ones..

So I dont feel it is mattering a lot for these sites, but surely it can be a big problem.

you can either choose unique IP's for each site or you can go for different c-class hosting IP's (but this can increase your hosting costs substantially)

I agree, if you go for multiple static IPs it would cost you much more. But i still suggest you should get a reseller account rather than a dedicated hosting at this stage.

There are a few factors which might persuade you to use dedicated over a vps such as bandwidth, or memory usage. Since a VPS usually has a high price on memory it can sometimes be just as cost effective to use a dedicated.

I work with a company that provides servers in the US. Which means Adult is fine so long as its legal, but Warez is a big no no..

If you are interested in getting a quote could you give me more details about what you want? Most importantly disk space, bandwidth (in mb/s), and ips?

    Thanks

I do have my server with The Planet. I got 16 IP addresses in 2 blocks of 8 on 2 different class C subnets. Works pretty good and it is only $8 on top of my server lease.

It's a Super Celeron with 1.5 GB Ram and 2 hard drives for $107 per month. Your price might varry a little bit. I am hosting about 40 of my own sites and a couple customer sites on it. Might be something worth for you to consider. You might have to join their waiting list though.
