Dreamhost has Pentium-4/30GB HD/512MB RAM dedicated (with 4TB of bandwidth) for $99/month.

Their shared hosting is sometimes slow with the databases, but with a dedicated, I'd assume it'd be much better as it's just you using your own databases. They have a money-back guarantee if there's something you don't like.

Since we're all here for web-biz, I'll provide a referral link you can choose to use if you like :) However, I don't seem to have earned the right to provide a clickable link yet, so my apologies:

    Hostgator has terrible prices.

Consider dreamhost and also I use superbservers. http://superbservers.com/

If you want a GREAT pr0n host that's amazingly cheap.

http://www.servage.net $7.50 per month with 17gb a day bandwidth usage...you could get 5 accounts there and spend 1/3 what you would at another host with a dedicated.

What about GoDaddy? Dedicated servers starting from $89 per month (and around $77 if you sign up for longer periods). I am using them for hosting 4 sites and their services have been excellent so far. I am not sure how good they would be at providing dedicated servers, but I have a feeling that the services would be pretty good.

Amit, the other thing you'll need to decide is whether you want to rent the server or lease to own. With the 2nd option, you can pay $100 per month for 4 years (say) and then you own the server and only pay a maintenance charge from then on. Or, you could just rent a server and see how it goes first.

    Regards,

Have you found one yet?I just got an email and remembered your post.

    Intel® Pentium 4 2.8GHz
    512Mb DDR SDRAM
    80Gb SATA HD
    Unlimited Bandwidth
Choice of operating system from Linux or Windows
    1 IP Address
    Firewall security included
    Easyspace Control Panel
Full remote access to your server
State of the art data centre
    Full telephone and email support
    99.9% Network Uptime Guarantee
    24/7 Server Monitoring

I like the unlimited bandwidth bit.

    It's £49.99 per month +vat which is 17.5% which = £58.74 which = $101.74 per month.
I have never used them so can't comment on that.

I also have no connection to the company.

Try getting a Virtural Private server--they allow the control of a dedicated, and are cheaper and have less resources than a dedicated.

I get mine from www.spry.com, they have excellent support :)

www.webhostingtalk.com is another good place to ask this question.

I get my servers from www.cari.net - you can get them as low as 59/mo (celeron) or 69/mo (pentium 4). They have much better options, as well. Their service has been awesome, they always reboot immediately if I have a server freeze, has been great support.
