Where to hire writers?

I need to include some kind of disclaimer for my new site. It will be offering a program for download, so I need all kind of legal mumbo jumbo like prohibit people from selling or altering it, etc.

Where can I find writers for this kind of stuff?

Personally I would find a site that offers a very simliar service, find their disclaimer form. Copy it and tailor it to your site.

Yeah, that's what I mean, is there some site where you can hire for example a doctor to write a medical article, or a lawyer to write you a legal article, etc.?

Nah... I joined a couple of weeks ago and it only took a few minutes.

From the home page, it does *look* like what you describe. As you get into it, it isn't actually that painful.

Lol, the funny thing is I "am" a lawyer, and I own a content writing firm for website owners and webmasters, and am listed on Elance. Now isn't that a coincidence? :D

What kind of disclaimer are you looking for? Is it your standard shrinkwrap licensure for your product?

You could try craigslist. I haven't used writers in there before, but I have heard good things about them.

I dunno if I would hire any of the nutcases who post to Craigslist -- unless I did just happen to need a transgender transvestite bowling ball juggler who was available on short notice.

On a more positive note, this looks very good: Private Designs.

I know it has been almost a year, but if your still looking, I'm a reliable writer.

If you need legalese, then it seems that you are seeking a way to CYA if things go south. The most reliable bet would be to hire a lawyer if you really need that kind of protection. Otherwise, copy and paste someone else's legalese and hope for the best.
