Where to look for health-related content to be used in a social media campaign?

I'm creating social media content for a local hospital. For our content, were usually post a link to a health-related website or article. Typically we try to keep it light and don't go for anything terribly technical.
For example, we might link to an article for seven steps to reduce heart disease.
    Or
Workout ideas that are unique to the autumn season.
    Or
    Healthy autumn recipes.
The major problem I am having is coming up with ideas for content. Once I come up with an idea, I write an introduction and a link to the article on our Facebook page.
Coming up with the idea is the most difficult and time-consuming part. If anyone has any advice on how to more efficiently go about coming up with an idea for content, I would truly appreciate it.

If you are having problems with coming up with ideas, you can do two things:
    1) Look for health related content on the web:
    - Read health news - (google, yahoo ..)
    - Check Google trends for health
    - Read blogs on health
    - Follow health related accounts on twitter
    - Follow health bloggers on facebook
    - Subscribe to alerts for health related queries

    2) Hire a VA that does all this.

Go to Google and look for blogs related to health. That's the best way to get ideas for your own content is to look at other people's. Try an article directory like Ezine Articles too, they have tons of content in any niche.

I always start with .gov content. It's typically free to use and you can sign up for updates for various types of subjects. http://www.health.gov/

Have a look at what's trending on Reddit or StumbleUpon in your niche for some inspiration. Or check Google news. I used to have google alerts setup for my clients keywords and let the inspiration flow straight to my inbox....

Thank you for the great advice, I will definitely do that. I have done similar projects in the past but, the circumstances were slightly different. Because of this my usual methodologies would not work.
