I have a skyscraper running down the right side below my menu. Are there any other places where I could sneak some ads in. Maybe some of the link units. I'd put one below the first post, but the width of 468 is too much, if the units were 400 wide I'd be ok. Maybe a half size unit, I think I remember seeing one.

So any suggestions on placement of Google Ads, or is it ok and I should leave it alone.

You may want to try the AdSense-Deluxe plugin. It allows you to place ads right after your post and fits perfect.

If you have a list of six most recent posts on your main Blog page then 3 ad blocks will only display, which would remove your right nav ads.

    There are ways round this.

Only use Adsense on every 2nd post.

Lower the amount of posts that can be viewed on your first page – I think it should be set to only show two if you want to keep the side nav ads.

Or depending on your market you can use Chitika on one post then adsense on another but be careful that you don’t fill your Blog with ads, sometimes less is better.
