    Hi,

    If you are looking to build value into the root domain (www.domain.com), it is better to build the blog into the subdirectory, since it is considered part of the root. A sub-domain is considered separate and distinct by search engines, and therefore to not add a cumulative value to the primary domain.

    blog.domain.com is a better option, but i suggest you use the root directory. It's easier to type and better seo wise. You can do this if you'd like to have a cool name like music.for-robots.com. Otherwise i wouldn't see the point :). Hope this helped
