The Joomla footprint extends far beyond the little Joomla notice in the footer and head section. (As it does in most CMS's).

    Isn't that a copyright infringement?

IMHO it IS. Same with phpBB and other open source CMS, you can change a line little, but should leave at least Powered by XXX (phpBB). But I am not 100% sure how it is with Joomla

The copyright only need remain in the source code. Final output does not need to show the Joomla footprint. In fact, for security purposes it is best that the footprint be completely removed. If a security hole develops, all a hacker would need to do to find targets is something like this:

    http://www.google.com/search?q=option,com_contact

    Scary, isn't it...

Do you have a link to confirm that? It would be good to remove the link but I'd still like some kind of 'official' confirmation that it's okay.

ALL the cms has some advantages and disadvantages, I think it’s better to take the benefit of all. If one has time then he/she should go through all the GOOD:confused: CMS and use it for the purpose.. There are many who use 5-6 cms in a single site.. I am trying the same thing in one of my site http://www.rise2fight.com , the site is not complete but I have tried to use 5 cms in that site. I know it’s not advisable to someone who don’t have that much of time and interest But its better to have own experience before selecting 2/3 cms for all the sites.

I like drupal and mambo most, If i have to use an opensource software for linux. However normally for our clients we develop custom CMS using .net.

One thing I dont like about opensource CMS is the regular updates and security hacks. If you are a pro, its wonderful, but if you cant devote time, it work reverse.

Its really a pain to move the database accurately, when your site grows. Compare to all these factors, WP is the best one I feel.

    None of the listed.

As smatts, I prefer coding my own CMS since there is no product available meeting my requirements :)
