PHPLD is best CMS for a directory site. It contains a customized interface to optimize your directory as you want.

    PHPLD powered http://www.yesitsfree.co.uk

Joomla powered with Mosets Tree directory component http://www.security4free.com

PHPLD is a good directory script from $30
Mosets Tree Joomla component is $115

Your sites look great. I remember when you were getting them started. And yes, phpLD 4.1 makes it easy to have a file upload feature which is great for running a download site.

My primary requirement are one description page, one download page and once clicked on download it should goto another page with option for direct downlink. Much like Softpedia.com
I was thinking of joomla as i know to use it. I dont know coding so it will little tough for me to try those all cms.
If any of above cms have this all features, than I'll go for it.
Tell if those features will be there in them.

Yes, so phpLD 4.1 has file download as one of the submit items. You click the link and you are downloading the file.
