Most of the CMS shopping carts have these features.

What about your shipping? What about tax structure?

That is more important to decide on the right CMS.

many times these requirements will be very unique and you end up finding that no CMS is suitable for you and you may go for custom development or a huge customization.

Magento is the best option in order to create e commerce site. You have facility to one click install magento inside control panal of hostgator. You can add and configure products easily inside magento.

As is obvious it depends on your budget or timeline.

Magento is a very good eCommerce suite, but might be overkill if you only have a few products.

You need to spend time thinking through your store requirements and how much content other that a store your site will have. If you want lots of content and a forum, gallery, community, etc then a Joomla website is a good option. There are several eCommerce options that have helped thousands of website owners over the years.

If you are going to have thousands of products I would recommend a Magento store.

If you want a website with content and other options there is a bridge to link Joomla to Magento.

If you don't have many products I would not use Magento, but look to use a CMS with a store add-on.

Think through your requirements and post back when you know what you want.

Its great to hear from everyone. The shopping cart I chose was Magento because of the code it outputs and its has so many great features. I look forward to hearing what others have to say about these shopping carts.

One I used to use alot was Zencart. Its not that popular, but I dont know why I used to really like it. Just give it a try, its a little different, but that can be good sometimes
